After wins early in the week against Fairbury and Rock Port, MO, the Bulldogs had finished a streak of six victories in seven games. Omaha Bryan would best the Bulldogs to end the week, but a strong showing the past two weeks by the Auburn baseball team has turned their season around from a 2-8 record early in April to 8-10 as of the start of this week.
As the district golf meet is just weeks away, the Bulldog golfers had an opportunity to compete in an invitational at Woodland Hills Golf Course, which is where the B1- 1district meet will also be held on May 13.
On Saturday, April 27 the Auburn track and field teams competed at the ECNC meet hosted by Freeman, where the Bulldog girls finished in first place. Winning both hurdles events was Auburn’s Addison Darnell. Liston Crotty also placed first in the 800 meter run and the two were a part of the first place 1600 meter relay team along with Mackenzie Stanley and Heidi Gerdes.
The Johnson-Brock track and field teams had two meets this past week, both held at Pawnee City High School.
The Bulldog soccer team captured their first varsity win of the season against the Pioneers of Nebraska City in a shootout.
